During Lillian and Basil's wedding on Saturday night as well as performing some walkaround caricatures I also performed a speed painting show in front of 300 guests. It was a great way to kick off the reception!
Back in 2004 I drew Sinatra in black and white with his famous blue eyes (drawing on right). Anyway, I dug up the picture using it as the basis for the speed painting at the wedding.
After rehearsing for two days, the Sinatra speed painting was then performed at the wedding cheoreographed to Michael Buble's "Everything".

Last week was an unusual week - first I was entertaining at the Moura Coal and Country Festival (150 km from Rockhampton, QLD) having fun surrounded by the country folk - big beards on the coal workers, cowboy hats, cow dung and kangaroos. Then flying back and entertaining at the Hilton in Sydney for Leonardo Consulting conference. It was one extreme to another but alot of fun nonetheless.
Earlier this year I recorded some speed painting for Pulse TV in their studios at Rosebery. This footage is now showing in pubs around the country - here is some footage that they cut together:
Coming up I'll be at the V8 Supercars in Sandown Melbourne and the big one in Bathurst. You can also see me entertaining at the Sydney Motorshow 11-14 October and 20-21 October at the Volkswagon stand. Come by and say G'day and I'll draw you in your favourite VW.

Just back from Dubbo in NSW (tradeshow for ITT Flyt) and Brisbane (Orrcon Racing V8 Supercars).
Coming up in the next few weeks we'll be entertaining Corinthian Industries, Virvac, Brightpoint, ACP magazines, Leonardos, Sanford Brands, Orrcon Racing at Oran Park.. and also just in.. I'll be entertaining at the Moura Coal and Country Festival about 2 hours outside of Rockhampton in Queensland on behalf of Anglo Coal. I will see you there ;)

I recently painted a number of celebrities 'live' for Pulse TV. This footage will be shown in pubs around Australia. On this first recording I painted Elvis (still my favourite to paint!), Marilyn Munroe, Jim Morrison (the Doors), Stevie Wonder, Che Guevara and Jack Nicholson. I'll post up a clip once I get the footage.

One thing about being in the entertainment industry is that it is so unpredictable. I thought it would slow down in the middle of the year, but I was so wrong.
I'll be in Melbourne next week and then Adelaide and back to Sydney for entertaining at trade shows, together with some corporate events during the evenings. June looks to be a little quieter so I am looking forward to developing my stage show further.
